How to store pumpkins

Once purchased, a whole pumpkin can be stored throughout the winter in a dark, cool and dry place. Traditionally, pumpkins should be eaten by Carnival. Pieces of raw pumpkin, on the other hand, should be stored in the refrigerator, generally in the vegetable drawer, wrapped in clear film: in this case, however, they should be consumed within a few days as they easily "dehydrate". If you want to store it in the freezer, you will need to peel the skin, cut the pumpkin into cubes and "blanch" it a little before freezing it.
